March 2009 pictures

Congratulations to Brian for completing his bachelors degree!!!! He received his degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University which is one of the top aviation schools in the country. I am so proud of him for all of his hard work and the sacrifices he's made to achieve this.
On Saturday March 21st, I threw a small congratulatory party for him at our house, because he didn't get to walk due to the ceremony being in Daytona Beach, FL.
Madison helped Brian open his gifts.
On Saturday, March 28th, each of the siblings and their spouses and Dad surprised Mom at a restaurant in Salt Lake City to celebrate her 70th Birthday. Happy 70th Mom!! pictured from left to right around the table: Bob (brother), Cindy (sister), Kjel (brother-in-law), Lani (sister), Susan, Brian, Emily (sister-in-law), Todd (brother), Mom, Dad, Dave (brother-in-law), Kathy (sister).
On Sunday, March 29th, we celebrated Madison's 2nd Birthday along with Mom's 70th & Dad's 74th Birthday. We had everyone over to our house for dinner, cake & ice cream. Madison had an Elmo party with an Elmo cake and decorations.

She wasn't quite sure how to blow out the candles and ended up getting a little spit on her cake....woops!
Mmmmm....enjoying all the gooey red icing on her cupcake.
Giving Bernie a little taste of the sweet stuff. He was sporting a red beard for a while.
The finished product
She had so much fun opening her gifts this year. She made sure she got off every single piece of wrapping paper....even with this really large present.
Thank you everyone for all of the wonderful birthday presents. Madison has been enjoying every single gift, and Mommy loves all of the darling clothes she gets to dress her in.
At one point, all the excitement was a little too overwhelming for her, and she didn't want anyone else touching her new toys.
She loves her glasses and hat she got from Uncle Jeff and Aunt Judy.
It is so cute when she puts them on by herself because they are usually upside down and barely stay on her face......
.......and smashing her ears.
The morning after her party the first thing she did was put on her glasses and ride her tricycle around the house. What a life. She was also a big helper while I straightened up after the party.
Our friend Josh was over at the house for dinner one evening. Madison warmed up to him by piling every toy from her toy box on him.
All tired out from a busy day playing with her cousins.
Talking on the cell phone and also having a really close face to face conversation with cousin Emily.
She loves to watch Elmo and Barney on the computer.
